Types of hash
Hashish is available in multiple grades and varieties, each defined by the specific method used to extract the potent elements of the cannabis plant. One traditional technique is dry sift, which involves mechanically filtering plant material through screens to isolate the trichomes. A more modern approach is bubble or ice water hash, where ice and water are used as a medium to freeze and detach these resin glands.
Concentrates can also be produced through rosin extraction, a process that utilizes heat and intense pressure to create a sticky substance from either the raw flowers or pre-made hash. Finally, charas represents the most ancient artisanal method, where the resin is collected by manually rubbing fresh cannabis buds between the hands until the material accumulates.
